Biography
I received my Ph.D. (2021) degree in Biomedical Engineering, at the Amirkabir University of Technology with a background in Tissue Engineering in my Master’s studies. I first joined CRN in May 2018 as a visiting student to work on surface modification and polymer processing as part of my Ph.D. thesis. I specifically worked on bone-implant and drug delivery as my Ph.D. project. I have experience in experimental research, stem cell culture, drug delivery and biomaterial surface modification. Currently, I am a researcher in the School of Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan campus. Please feel free to follow my research via my google scholar (Maryam Mehdizadeh Omrani) in which you can find additional information about my research background.
